Characteristics of high-precision mold accessories

In addition to sufficient strength and toughness, the surface properties of high-precision molds are crucial for their working performance and service life.

The improvement of these properties solely relying on the improvement and enhancement of the matrix material is very limited and uneconomical, but surface treatment techniques can usually achieve twice the results with half the effort.

This is the reason for the rapid development of surface treatment technology.

Mold polishing technology is an important component of mold surface engineering and a crucial post-processing technique in the mold manufacturing process.

Due to some issues with domestic polishing technology and materials, such as injection molds for point camera lenses, CDs, VCDs, and tools with high transparency requirements still relying on imports.

The material analysis of mirror mold is not only a matter of chemical composition, but more importantly, it requires us to adopt a series of advanced production processes such as vacuum degassing, argon gas environment protection ingot casting, vertical continuous casting and rolling, flexible forging, etc.

during smelting, so that the mirror mold steel has a series of important advantages such as less internal control defects, fine impurity particle size, high dispersion degree, fine metal grain size, and good uniformity, in order to achieve the requirements of polished mirror mold steel.

The surface information processing data technology of mold accessories is a systematic construction project that uses surface coating, surface modification, or composite accounting processing related technologies to change the surface morphology, chemical composition, organizational management structure,

and stress distribution state of high-precision mold accessories, in order to obtain the required surface quality performance.

The nitriding process includes gas nitriding, ion nitriding, liquid nitriding, and other methods.

In each nitriding method, there are several nitriding techniques that can improve the requirements for adapting to different steel grades and affecting workpieces in society.

From the perspective of surface treatment methods, they can be divided into: chemical teaching methods, physics learning methods, physical chemistry education methods, and mechanical usage methods.

It is worth noting that the polishing of the mold surface is not only affected by the polishing equipment and process, but also by the mirror size of the mold material, which has not received enough attention, that is, the polishing itself is limited by the mold material.

Although new processing technologies aimed at improving the surface performance of precision mold components continue to emerge, their main applications in high-precision mold component manufacturing are nitriding, carburizing, and hardening film deposition.

Due to the fact that nitrogen technology can form surfaces with excellent performance, the nitrogen process and high-precision mold accessory steel quenching process are well coordinated, and low temperature and nitrogen do not require strong cooling, resulting in minimal deformation of high-precision mold accessories.

Therefore, nitrogen technology was widely used for surface reinforcement of high-precision mold accessories in the early stages.
